Search before posting
Useful searches include the exact machine, resource or puzzle name plus the current version. Include a screenshot, the game build and what you already tried when asking for help.
Separate evidence from advice
A player screenshot can prove what happened in one save. It does not prove a universal recipe or fixed map coordinate. Treat conflicting replies as a reason to reproduce the result.
Write a question other players can reproduce
A useful troubleshooting post identifies the exact structure or material, the visible symptom, the game build and the last change made before the failure. Crop the screenshot widely enough to include inputs and outputs rather than showing only the blocked pixel. If mods are active, name them and repeat the test without them when possible. This separates a current game rule from a save-specific layout problem and gives responders enough evidence to suggest a test instead of guessing.
- Name the machine, resource or artifact room.
- Include the current build and platform.
- Show both sides of the failing handoff.
- Report the result after trying a suggested fix.
Evaluate a community answer
Prefer replies that explain a mechanism, include a current screenshot or link to an official reference. Check whether the advice describes the demo, an older Early Access build or a modded save. For recipes and machine ratios, compare the claim with the official Wiki; for layout advice, reproduce it in a small isolated cell. A highly upvoted answer can still be outdated, while a newer correction may describe the current behavior more accurately.
