Sandustry Planter Box Setup & Layout
Build a working Sandustry Planter Box setup: route floating Wet Seeds in, clear blockages, and collect Gold and Amethelis below.
A Wet Seed touching a Planter Box grows into a Flower. Gold and Amethelis can pass through the box, while other solids can remain above it and create a blockage.

Layer the setup vertically
Use an enclosed wetting zone above or beside the planter line, guide Wet Seeds onto the boxes, and leave a collection area below for Gold and Amethelis.
Design around floating seeds
Wet Seeds can remain suspended in Water. A Clearing Frame can push them through a controlled route; a wide uncontained pool often creates a slow, inconsistent feed.
Reference layout: washer, buffer, planter
Use three visible stages. First, a contained washer converts Seeds and lets Wet Seeds separate by their suspended behavior. Second, a narrow buffer and Clearing Frame regulate the feed. Third, the Planter Box sits above a divided collection area for Gold and drifting Amethelis. Keep Water out of the lower output chamber and leave the top contact face reachable. This layout is intentionally modular so each stage can be tested before more boxes are copied alongside it.
- Prove the washer separates a small batch.
- Route only Wet Seeds into the buffer.
- Feed one Planter Box and observe a full Flower output.
- Split Gold and Amethelis before adding another planter.
Read the blockage by location
Seeds stalled in the washer indicate a separation or outlet problem. Wet Seeds suspended before the box indicate the buffer is too wide or the Clearing Frame is not moving them. Material resting on the box points to a foreign solid or blocked contact face. Mixed output below means the collection split begins too late. Use the location of the first stationary material to choose a fix, then restart with one seed instead of releasing the entire stored batch.
